At Razorfish, I worked on the State Farm team for nearly 3 years. We were responsible for the design of everything from StateFarm.com, the smartphone app, the auto rate quote estimate tool (along with countless user testing sessions that went along with it), to a robust B2B site. As agency of record, Razorfish had a hand in all things digital for State Farm.
State Farm asked Razorfish to envision what their digital presence should look like in 2013. We came up with a more social and productized model for their insurance lines. We gave users simple tools to customize their individual insurance plans, and for those who need help, the ability to chat with their agent with just the click of a button.
We named the State Farm mobile app, “State Farm Pocket Agent” because it truly is like having an agent with you everywhere you go. The app is available for iOS and Android and during development, it had me pouring over pages of Human Interface Guidelines. The app allows customers to create claims, find an agent, get an insurance quote, read up on insurance news, and many more awesome things.
